CD/DVD Development
CD's and DVD's vs. Web site

A CD or DVD is a cost effective alternative to the web when you want to provide high quality video or audio to your students. Web Streaming is good, but many factors will cause the quality of the streaming media to be low, even if the student is on a high bandwith connection like a cable modem or DSL.

Using a CD or DVD, videos can be full screen and in the case of CD's, the required software for viewing the video can be included on the CD.

If your interactive or animated material is too large to view or download from the Web in a reasonable amount of time, a CD or DVD may be the answer.

How Can a CD or DVD be Used?

Faculty can have CD's developed to work with a website. For example, an Angel course can be set up to access high quality video, audio, or presentation files from a CD.

Faculty can have CD's hold approved software and related files required for use by the students. Many plugins and files take a considerable amount of time to download on a dial-up Internet connection.

Staff can use CD's and DVD's for presentations where a high speed connection is not guarenteed.

Marketing material can be incorporatd into an interactive environment and distributed on CD or DVD.

Documents can be archived to CD or DVD and distributed to an entire department.
