Equipment Loans and Special Events– Visit our Equipment Loan office located in Ben Hill Griffin Building Room 106 or submit an on-line request for any technology equipment required for course use in a CLASSROOM http://itech.fgcu.edu/equipmentloan/ClassroomEquipmentLoan.asp or for a SPECIAL EVENT http://itech.fgcu.edu/equipmentloan/SpecialEventsEquipmentLoan.asp (note – charges may be applied for Special Event equipment requests.)
AET Open Student Labs – 30 PC seats available, located in Ben Hill Griffin Bldg, Room 208. (Closed Sat & Sun except during finals.) 20 additional MAC computers are located in our Lab in the Broadcast Building, Room 28. Open until 5pm each day it is available when not in use for scheduled classes.
Classroom PodiumTechnology Training – Training sessions are scheduled at the beginning of each semester to initiate new faculty to the basic functionality of the multimedia podium/projector systems that are installed in each of our classrooms. Individual, one-on-one instruction on using the podium system or any of its components is also available. Just call x-7100 to arrange an appointment.
Course Software – The Microsoft Office suite of products is installed on every classroom, lab, and faculty office computer. However, we can conduct a needs assessment and coordinate the procurement, installation and license management of all other specialized, course-related software applications as may be required for your classes. Video Editing – Video editing stations and associated software are located in the Mac classroom (Broadcast Building Room 28.) They are available – by reservation only - to both faculty and students for course-related projects.
Video Conferencing, Course Taping & DVD Duplication – Facilities are available on campus to provide video conferencing, remote/interactive course delivery and/or course taping. We also offer DVD duplication services as it relates to course delivery.
Faculty Web & Network Services – Need a web site? Just give us a call and we’ll provide the space! We can also offer secure storage for your instructional files and data.
Academic Technology Needs Assessment for new buildings and renovated spaces – We can provide recommendations and budget estimates as well as coordinate the procurement and installation of any new academic technology required.
