FORENSICS LAB

Examine the skull from the various sides. Some of the photographs have a ruler for you to compute different measurements. Using your laboratory textbook, write down as much information as you can regarding the possible age range, sex, racial analysis, health, and probable cause of death of the individual. WRITE A REPORT using the correct TERMINOLOGY for the bones. Make lists of characteristics as evidence to support specific age range, racial makers, and other conclusions. Remember there is a range of variation between individuals, so base you analysis on the most features that support your argument. The skull was found in California and has been part of a collection for about 100 years.
