  • Position:  Medical Laboratory Supervisor
  • Dates:  August, 1969 – August 1996
  • Duties:  Supervised all laboratory departments; trained all new employees; trained all employees upon introduction of new procedures and/or instruments; development and implementation of training programs; problem-solving and troubleshooting all laboratory equipment; maintenance, training, and implementation of both software and hardware of the laboratory computer information system; technical writing of all procedure, maintenance, and safety manuals; development and implementation of the laboratory safety and hazardous materials handling program; performance of routine automated and manual procedures in chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, immunohematology, clinical microscopy, and phlebotomy; scheduling employees within each of the five geographically separate laboratory locations; scheduling and implementing health fairs for cholesterol and chemistry screens with various county and municipal health departments and other private enterprises; knowledge and implementation of all local, state, and federal regulations necessary for accreditation and operation of a medical laboratory; and quality control, both technical and statistical, of all laboratory procedures.
