Web Board Log On Procedure

CCJ 3024 Criminal Justice Systems and Processes

WebBoard is the new collaboration software you will use to interact with your instructor and classmates. For those of you who have used our message boards in the past, you will find the new WebBoard is similar, but contains more features. (See example below).

To access the new WebBoard, you will need a log-in name and password. This log-in name and password can only be used to access the WebBoard. You will receive a different user name and password from your instructor to enter your cyber classroom after you have completed week one assignments.

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE a log-in name and password to access a WebBoard for a criminal justice class, you can use that information to access the WebBoard for this class. Click on the link in step one to access the WebBoard for this class. Enter your user name and pasword and click "OK." Once you have accessed the WebBoard, click on the conference (topic) titled "CCJ 3024 CJ Systems and Processes" to read the message from your instructor.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE a WebBoard log-in name and password, follow all of the instructions below. If you are taking more than one Internet class in Criminal Justice, you will only need to obtain a WebBoard log-in name and password one time. Make sure you read all instructions before proceeding.

1. Click on this link: (URL goes here)

2. Click "New Users."

3. A form will appear. Fill in all the required information to create your user profile. (A red dot indicates a required field.) Use your first initial and last name for your log in. Write down your web board log-in name and password so you don't forget them!

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page. If your web browser does not support frames (AOL), select "No" beside the text "Use Frames."

5. Click Create.

6. Explore the WebBoard and practice reading, posting, and replying to messages.
