How to Register
Admission Procedures

What are the admission requirements for taking a distance learning course or enrolling in a distance learning degree program at FGCU?

The admission requirements for distance learning courses and degree programs are the same as the requirements for on-campus, face-to-face offerings. The only exception is the immunization requirement. If you enroll as an FGCU student and you NEVER come to campus to attend classes, then the immunization requirement can be waived. If, however, at any time you enroll in a class that requires face-to-face meetings on campus, you must meet the immunization requirement.

However, please note the following requirement.
Each semester, prior to registration, it is necessary that the distance learning student contact Student Health Services at 239-590-7966 to move the hold date forward to allow for registration. The reason the hold is not permanently removed from the student’s account is because of the possibility of the distance learning student becoming an on-campus student. The University requires a student attending classes on campus to submit immunization records prior to walking into a classroom.

DL students who would like to eliminate this responsibility every semester, may complete the immunization record form and turn it into the University.

Anyone with Internet access may get the necessary admission’s information and documents from the FGCU website at: http://enrollment.fgcu.edu/admissions/

You also may email any specific questions to Admissions@fgcu.edu. Request graduate and undergraduate information at: http://www.fgcu.edu/undergradinfo/ and http://www.fgcu.edu/gradinfo/.

Academic Advising

You may email or call the following academic advisors for assistance:

Academic advising is essential to the discovery and development of the academic potential of students. Advisors provide up-to-date information regarding educational programs, curricula, policies, and procedures. In addition, advisors guide students to success by connecting them to academic support, counseling, and career planning services.
