$325,000 in new and upgraded academic technology installations - replacing obsolete equipment, including:

• New student workstations and teaching podium computers installed in Library 438, Reed Hall 144 and Whitaker 269 computer classrooms.

• New teaching computers installed in all Whitaker and Library classroom podiums and various Ben Hill Griffin classroom podiums.

• New student computers installed in Open Student Lab located in Ben Hill Griffin, Room 208.

• New student computers installed in Nursing Lab located in Library, Room 212.

• Student workstations and teaching computers upgraded in all classrooms located in AB3.

• Teaching computers upgraded in all Reed Hall classroom podiums.

• 10 full teaching podium systems upgraded – including projectors, document cameras, touch panels – in AB3 classrooms.

    All existing teaching podium systems and projectors in every classroom serviced/repaired.

    Over 1,000 student and podium teaching station computers re-imaged with updated and/or new academic software.

    Successfully transitioned academic network backup and file storage to the upgraded and expanded FGCU Storage Area Network (SAN.)

    Successfully applied Angel Learning Management System updates.

    On-line, real time view of PC and Mac open student lab seat availability located in Ben Hill Griffin, Reed and Holmes Hall.

    Adobe Creative Design upgraded to Version 5.5… “Premium”(http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/design.html) and “Standard”(http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/designstandard.html) – available in select classrooms and open labs.

    Full teaching podium systems upgraded in Student Union meeting rooms, 213 and 214. Sound and projection systems upgraded in Student Union Ballroom.

    Full teaching podium system installed in Palmetto Dorm classroom.

• On-line teaching podium system training and tutorials.

• FGCU "Virtual Student Lab" - allowing for remote, 24x7 student access to course software and applications.

• Pending funding allocation, academic technology installations in 25+ new classrooms and labs located in the Health Sciences Building - AB8, presently under construction.
