Requesting Multimedia Services

The multimedia team is available to develop interactive media to support the instructional, administartive, and marketing needs of FGCU.

Multimedia services available to faculty, and staff include:

    • Course CD's or DVD's that contain audio, video, animations, and interactivity
    • Companion CD's for use with Angel courses
    • Preparing streaming audio and/or video for FGCU Web sites
    • 2D and 3D graphic and animation support
    • Digitize audio and video clips
    • Scan photographs, slides, and transparencies
    • Produce interactive presentations
    • Video Editing
    • CD/DVD Duplication
    • And much more ...

What is involved with creating an interative CD?
 
  1. Project Definition
    * Initial meeting with Department / Unit
    * Concept for CD is developed
    * Define Goals

  2. Develop CD Structure
    * Gather Content
    * Create a Flowchart
    * Develop Storyboards

  3. Visual Design
    * Review concepts and color schemes
    * Scan pictures
    * Create Animations
    * Digitize Video and Audio
    * Create Initial interface, images, etc.
    * Design CD Label

  4. CD Design
    * Initial lay-out of interface, navigation, etc.
    * Program interactivity
    * Add audio and video
    * create draft CD

  5. Quality Assurance of CD and Final Review
    * Spell check
    * Design and code consistency
    * Cross Platform consistency
    * Interactivity check
    * Navibation check
    * Video and Audio playback check
  6. Duplicates are made or a master CD is sent out to a duplication company
