Welcome to Academic and Event Technology Services!

Academic & Event Technology Services (AETS) is part of the Office of Curriculum & Instruction. Our mission is to provide exemplary leadership and services aimed at the evaluation, development, implementation and use of state of the art instructional and research technology and applications as well as specialized technology and support of University sponsored Special Events that foster the exemplary education, and outreach interests and goals of Florida Gulf Coast University.

The AET Help Line for Classroom Technology and Academic Systems (239) 590-7100
Call for our “immediate response” to your problems with classroom podium/projection systems, classroom/lab computers, the Angel Learning Management System or any other academic applications.
Equipment Loans and Special Events
Use our on-line request form
(http://itech.fgcu.edu/Special.asp) or (http://itech.fgcu.edu/Classroom.asp)
for any technology equipment required for course use in a classroom or for a special event
(note – charges may be applied for Special Event equipment requests.)
Course Software
The Microsoft Office suite of products is installed on every classroom, lab, and faculty office computer. However, many other software titles are available for use in course instruction. See our on-line listing of available software at:

AET Open Student Labs
Thirty PC seats are available in
Ben Hill Griffin Room 208 – Mon-Fri, 7:30am-6pm
Fifteen additional MAC computers are located in
Reed Hall Room 256 – Mon-Fri, 8am-9pm
Video Editing
Video editing stations and associated software are located in the Mac Lab – Reed Hall Room 256. Assistance in using the equipment and software is provided by AET staff. This service is available by reservation only to both faculty and students for course-related projects.
Faculty Web & Network Services
Need a web site? Just give us a call and we’ll provide the space! We can also offer secure storage for your instructional files and data.
